Meet Our Team

Tammy
Practice Manager

Tammy’s job includes a little bit of everything! She is the person who keeps the office running smoothly day to day. She began working for the office in 1980 and Dr. Nicholson inherited her when he came in 1982.

Tammy went to Walker Career Center for her dental assisting training during high school and was able to work at the same time. She loves every aspect of our office, from meeting with patients and parents to working every day with the staff. She says our staff is like a family and we strive to treat our patients the same way.

Tammy has been married for over 39 years and has 3 sons, 3 daughters in law, and 4 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family as much as possible. Tammy also loves camping, traveling, riding bikes, going to Colts games, and spending time with her grandkids and going to their sporting events.

Ashley
Financial Coordinator

Ashley is a 2008 graduate of the IU Dental Assisting program and is X-ray certified. She has known Dr. Nicholson all of her life and has worked at Nicholson Orthodontics since 2008. Until recently, Ashley worked chairside with the patients, but now you’ll find her at the front desk with Alex. As the financial/scheduling coordinator, she helps answer phones and schedule appointments as well as handling insurance. Her favorite part of her job is seeing how excited the patients are when they get their braces off.

Ashley loves coffee, fall (it really is the best season!), reading, floating in the pool, hitting the gym, going on vacation, and spending time with her daughters and boyfriend. They live on the south side of Indy with their dog, Kobe, and cat, Milo.

Nina
Scheduling Coordinator

Nina joined the Nicholson Orthodontics team in 2022 as our scheduling coordinator. She moved to Zionsville from Georgia (Go Dawgs!) in April of 2022. She is responsible for answering the phone, checking patients in when they arrive at our office, and scheduling appointments. She loves seeing how excited our patients are to get their braces!

Nina comes from a large family and was born and raised in the south. She has two children and five grandchildren. Nina decided to move to Zionsville to be closer to her daughter and two granddaughters, Iris and Lily. They keep her on her toes! She also loves fall, camping, baking, visiting state parks, and Georgia football! Nina travels back to Georgia to visit family as often as possible. Taylor
Clinical Coordinator / Orthodontic Assistant

Taylor joined the team in 2015 when she finished the IU dental assisting program. She loves coming to work and seeing the progression and change in patients’ smiles throughout treatment. Taylor says her favorite part of work is the way the team works so great together.

Taylor and her husband Justin have a daughter and a son. Most of her weekends are spent either playing flag football or watching her husband or stepson play sports.

Nancy
Brace Bus Driver

Nancy is one of the first faces you see when you enter our office! Since the beginning of the pandemic, Nancy has been our greeter. She checks patients in, takes their temperature, and seats them in the clinic. She is most known for being our Brace Bus driver which we have started offering as a service again in Fall 2021. Nancy loves working with the patients and getting to know them on a personal level as they go through treatment.

Nancy is married and has two adult daughters and one wild cat. She and her husband have lived in Zionsville for 30 years. Whether she’s walking, hiking, or gardening, Nancy loves spending her free time outdoors. She loves to go to outdoor concerts and botanical gardens. Sewing is also a huge part of Nancy’s life. She always has at least one or more projects going at a time. Sometimes you can even find her working on her projects in the waiting room!
