Dr. Nick knew from an early age that orthodontics was the perfect fit for his passion for helping others, community involvement, and attention to detail. He earned his dental degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry before completing his orthodontic specialty training and Master of Science in Dentistry at the University of Colorado. As an active member of several professional dental and orthodontic associations, Dr. Nick is committed to providing high-quality, personalized care using modern orthodontic techniques. He values collaboration with other dental professionals and enjoys building lasting relationships with his patients, their families, and the community.
Sarah joined the Village Orthodontics team as Practice Manager in June 2024, although she has been involved with the practice since 2022 when Dr. Nick joined the office. Originally from Jasper, Indiana, Sarah attended Butler University and previously worked as a Physician Assistant before transitioning into her role in orthodontics. As Practice Manager, Sarah enjoys every aspect of the office, from connecting with patients and their families to supporting the team each day. She is passionate about creating a positive experience for both patients and staff and helping the practice continue to grow. Sarah and Dr. Nick have been married since 2016 and lives in Zionsville with their three children. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending quality time with her family.
Ashley is a 2008 graduate of the IU Dental Assisting program and is X-ray certified. She has known Dr. Nicholson all of her life and has worked at Nicholson Orthodontics since 2008. Until recently, Ashley worked chairside with the patients, but now you’ll find her at the front desk with Alex. As the financial/scheduling coordinator, she helps answer phones and schedule appointments as well as handling insurance. Her favorite part of her job is seeing how excited the patients are when they get their braces off.
Ashley loves coffee, fall (it really is the best season!), reading, floating in the pool, hitting the gym, going on vacation, and spending time with her daughters and boyfriend. They live on the south side of Indy with their dog, Kobe, and cat, Milo.
Lauren joined the Village Orthodontics team in 2026 as our Treatment Coordinator. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and has been
working in the dental field since 2021. Lauren is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident from their very first visit. She strives to create a welcoming experience for every patient and enjoys guiding families through the beginning of their orthodontic journey. Her favorite part of the job is seeing the incredible smile transformations that occur throughout treatment. Lauren lives in Whitestown with her boyfriend, Justin. Outside the office, she enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and making memories with family and friends. She is also a dedicated Indianapolis Colts fan and never misses an opportunity to watch Survivor.
Shelby joined the Village Orthodontics team in February 2023. She earned her Dental Assisting certificate from Vincennes University in 2019 and has enjoyed helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles ever since. Shelby loves the positive and supportive atmosphere at Village Orthodontics and values the relationships she has built with both patients and coworkers. Her favorite part of her job is seeing the excitement and confidence on patients’ faces when they complete treatment and see their new smiles for the first time. Outside the office, Shelby enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She is also a proud dog mom to Luna and Busch and loves making memories with her nieces and nephews.
Taylor joined the team in 2015 when she finished the IU dental assisting program. She loves coming to work and seeing the progression and change in patients’ smiles throughout treatment. Taylor says her favorite part of work is the way the team works so great together.
Taylor and her husband Justin have a daughter and a son. Most of her weekends are spent either playing flag football or watching her husband or stepson play sports.
Robbie began his career in dentistry in 2022 after graduating from Denver Dental Assistant School. He started his orthodontic journey in Colorado before moving to New York. In 2025 he joined the team at Village Orthodontics and has enjoyed expanding his clinical knowledge and patient care experience along the way. One of his favorite parts of his job is building relationships with patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their treatment. He is passionate about continuing his education and advancing within the dental profession. Currently, he is pursuing a degree in Communication Studies at Indiana University Indianapolis, with the long-term goal of attending dental school. Outside the office, he enjoys building LEGO sets, playing golf, and creating automotive content for social media.
Kelsea joined Village Orthodontics in 2026, bringing eight years of orthodontic experience to the team. She graduated with an associate’s degree and expanded functions certifications in 2017 and has enjoyed working in orthodontics ever since.
Kelsea loves getting to know her patients and building relationships with them throughout their treatment. Her favorite part of her job is making a positive difference in each patient’s day and striving to be the best part of it.
Outside the office, Kelsea enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, and reading. She also has two dachshunds, Maggie and Murphy, who she treats like her own children.
Diana graduated from the Ivy Tech Dental Assisting program in 2021 and joined Village Orthodontics in 2026. Although she is new to the dental field, she is excited to grow her skills and knowledge in orthodontics as a dental assistant, working directly with patients in the clinic.
Diana enjoys learning new things about orthodontics and appreciates being part of a team that is patient and supportive as she continues to learn. She loves that her teammates take the time to teach her new skills and help her build confidence in her role.
Originally from the small town of Logansport, Diana recently moved to the area. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, baking, and practicing yoga. She also loves spending time with her six-year-old daughter.
Nancy is one of the first faces you see when you enter our office! Since the beginning of the pandemic, Nancy has been our greeter. She checks patients in, takes their temperature, and seats them in the clinic. She is most known for being our Brace Bus driver which we have started offering as a service again in Fall 2021. Nancy loves working with the patients and getting to know them on a personal level as they go through treatment.
Nancy is married and has two adult daughters and one wild cat. She and her husband have lived in Zionsville for 30 years. Whether she’s walking, hiking, or gardening, Nancy loves spending her free time outdoors. She loves to go to outdoor concerts and botanical gardens. Sewing is also a huge part of Nancy’s life. She always has at least one or more projects going at a time. Sometimes you can even find her working on her projects in the waiting room!
